Daicel Corporation is a Japanese company that develops and manufactures specialty chemical products. The headquarters are in Osaka and Tokyo. The company was founded in 1919. In 1934 Fujifilm was spun off. Sales in 2019 were around USD 4.2 billion. Daicel Corporation is manufacturing various organic functional products by the reaction with peracetic acid: various kinds of epoxy compounds and their derivatives, ε‑caprolactone and its oligomers and unique reactive acrylic monomers. These products are widely used in the field of coating, additive for plastics, electric materials, resins, and so on.
