Imerys Celite® grades are made from diatomaceous earth, a silica mineral derived from the fossilized remains of microscopic single cell aquatic plants known as diatoms. Due to their unique combination of physical properties and high brightness, Celite® grades are excellent matting agents. Also they are typically used in premium films where excellent clarity and low haze is required.
