DURASYN 166

DURASYN 166 is a 6 cSt (mm2/s) high performance engineering thermoplastic that provides excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance. DURASYN 166 offers high strength, stiffness and toughness even at elevated temperatures making it ideal for applications in the Advanced Materials industry. As a semi-crystalline polymer, DURASYN 166 has good dimensional stability and creep resistance. It also has very low moisture absorption characteristics. DURASYN 166 is self-lubricating and wear resistant, reducing friction and wear in components used in Advanced Materials. DURASYN 166 can be used to manufacture parts and components that require high strength, stiffness and durability even in harsh chemical environments and at elevated operating temperatures common in Advanced Materials applications. DURASYN 166 is also authorized for use as components of food grade lubricants and are registered with the National Sanitary Foundation (NSF) under H1 and HX-1 classification.
