CONSUMER BENEFITS
This eye cream visibly firms and smooths the eye area while reducing puffiness through stimulated blood circulation. It promotes collagen and elastin production, improves skin elasticity, and thus provides an effective anti-aging effect. It contains effect pigments that make the eyes glow, with a light and smooth texture.
FORMULATORY EXPERTISE
- A successfully swelling and dispersion of Microcrystalline Cellulose, Xanthan Gum and Cellulose Gum particles leads to the formation of a stabilizing colloidal matrix, which supports emulsification and contributes to texture and viscosity in high oil load O/W systems (up to 30%).
- This structure interacts synergistically with a multifunctional O/gel/W emulsifier system. Behenyl Alcohol is added to reinforce viscosity and improve emulsion stability.
- The challenge lies in balancing the aqueous phase and oil content to avoid phase separation and ensure uniform active distribution. The result is a soft emulsion with excellent sensory properties and suitability for sensitive skin that deposits Active Ingredients excellent on the skin.

DEKAMULEN POWER’FEEL – JAN DEKKER
A natural derived cellulose-based emulsifier offering very good emulsifying performance, capable of emulsifying a broad range of emollient types. It provides an amazing sensoriality - light, non-sticky and silky textures, a high spreadability, with a quick break, without a peeling effect, at low use level (1 - 1.5 %).

NIKKOL BEHENYL ALCOHOL 80 – NIKKOL GROUP
A fatty alcohol with higher carbon number of C22 than other alcohols like cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol. This gives NIKKOL BEHENYL ALCOHOL 80 superior properties of mildness, safety and emulsion stabilization. As an emollient wax, it helps form emulsions with an elegant feel and fast absorption.

A free-flowing white powder with a pearly silver reflection colour. It provides a subtle sparkling effect and can be used to add luminosity and shine to personal care products. It has been confirmed the improvement of wrinkles on crown's feet, nasolabial folds and pores by promoting the collagen cycle.

Regional Technical Manager IMCD Beauty & Personal Care Germany
Dr Nora Schiemann serves as Regional Technical Manager at IMCD Germany, responsible for all technical questions related to Personal Care and Cosmetics in the Region DACH.
After obtaining her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, she began her career in 1993. She has held several roles in R&D, Technical Management and Supply Chain Management at Wella, P&G, Akzo Nobel and as a Product Manager at the TER Group.
In 2021, she and the IMCD team were awarded the 2nd Prize at the SEPAWA Innovation Awards.
