FORMULATORY EXPERTISE
To be applied and combed through wet hair before being blow dried.
- Hydroxypropyl starch phosphate, a modified and pre-gelatinized natural polymer, was used to stabilize the formulation. It enables the formation of a cold gel with a light sensory profile.
- To offer multifunctionality -conditioning, heat protection and colour protection specialized amodimethicone emulsions were used, leaving hair shiny and smooth.
- To achieve this extraordinary shine for a glass hair effect, a special silicone with a high refractive index was used
KEY FUNCTIONAL INGREDIENTS
BELSIL PF 200 – WACKER
A silicone with high refractive index – 1,45 to imparts excellent shine to the hair, making it look smooth and healthy.
Multiple attractive benefits such as amphiphilicity, soft feel and easy emulsifiability.
INCI : PEG/PPG-20/20 Phenylisopropyl Caprylyl Dimethicone
BELSIL ADM 8105 E – WACKER
A micro emulsion and conditioning agent useful for strongly damaged hair, improving dry and wet combing and giving a silky touch after application.
INCI: Amodimethicone, C11-15 Pareth-7, Laureth-9, Glycerin, Trideceth-12
BELSIL ADM 6300 E – WACKER
Excellent conditioning agent in hair care applications. Upon drying, it forms a protective, elastic sheath around the hair fiber. Provides a soft, silky touch and effectively reduces dry and wet combing forces, especially on thick hair.

Dr Nora Schiemann
Regional Technical Manager IMCD Beauty & Personal Care Germany
Dr Nora Schiemann serves as Regional Technical Manager at IMCD Germany, responsible for all technical questions related to Personal Care and Cosmetics in the Region DACH.
After obtaining her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, she began her career in 1993. She has held several roles in R&D, Technical Management and Supply Chain Management at Wella, P&G, Akzo Nobel and as a Product Manager at the TER Group.
In 2021, she and the IMCD team were awarded the 2nd Prize at the SEPAWA Innovation Awards.
