CUSTOMER BENEFITS
A gentle mineral sunscreen specifically developed to protect sensitive skin. Free from reef-harming ingredients, its advanced formulation ensures a clean, soft, and comfortable skin feel—without white cast, sticky residue, or greasy film.
FORMULATORY EXPERTISE
Getting a fine dispersed, low-viscous ZnO suspension that feels lightweight and doesn’t leave a white cast on the skin requires a well-balanced dispersing system supported by Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate. This combination prevents ZnO particle agglomeration and ensures long-term stability without thickening over time.
The emulsifier blend of Behenyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-10 Pentastearate and Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate enables the formation of a bilayer emulsion structure, which improves water resistance and supports elegant thixotropic film formation on the skin.
ZnO is introduced via a predispersion in C13-15 Alkane and Polyhydroxystearic Acid, allowing for uniform distribution and optimal light scattering.

It effectively stabilizes formulations by preventing oxidation, discoloration, and rancidity, while chelating a wide range of cations and enhancing long-term foam resistance.

NIKKOL CMT-30 – NIKKO
An extremely mild surfactant. Helps to cleanse skin without removing skin lipids. In this formula it suppresses agglomerates by electrical repulsion.

DEKAMULEN POWER’FEEL – JAN DEKKER
A natural derived cellulose-based emulsifier offering very good emulsifying performance, capable of emulsifying a broad range of emollient types. Dr Nora Schiemann
Regional Technical Manager IMCD Beauty & Personal Care Germany
Dr Nora Schiemann serves as Regional Technical Manager at IMCD Germany, responsible for all technical questions related to Personal Care and Cosmetics in the Region DACH.
After obtaining her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, she began her career in 1993. She has held several roles in R&D, Technical Management and Supply Chain Management at Wella, P&G, Akzo Nobel and as a Product Manager at the TER Group.
In 2021, she and the IMCD team were awarded the 2nd Prize at the SEPAWA Innovation Awards.
