A simple way to connect meetings with Sustainability
For us at IMCD, sustainability is more than just a business strategy, it’s part of our culture. We believe that impactful change begins with empowered people, meaningful partnerships and responsible innovation. Through our global Sustainability Programme and initiatives such as IMCD Cares Fund, we actively encourage our teams to contribute to a more sustainable future within our value chain and in the communities we operate in.
It is through this culture of engagement that ideas like “Plant-a-Tree with IMCD” take shape. At this year’s Chemspec Europe, on the 4th & 5th of June 2025 in Cologne, our Pharmaceutical Synthesis Team welcomed visitors to its booth with more than just innovative solutions in chemical distribution. We brought sustainability into every conversation.
As part of our new initiative, “Plant-a-Tree with IMCD”, we committed to planting a tree in the name of our business partners for every meeting held with us during the event. Each conversation, whether with customers, suppliers, or partners, helped us to take a small step towards fulfilling our environmental responsibility. The idea was simple but effective: connect business exchange with a tangible contribution to nature. And the response? Overwhelmingly positive. Throughout the two days, we watched our symbolic tree at the booth fill up with planting vouchers, a clear sign of engagement, connection, and shared values. It proves that sustainability can be simple, actionable, and integrated into any type of business interactions.
This initiative reflects and expands our ongoing commitment to greener solutions and sustainable action. We believe that every step and every meeting counts when it comes to creating a more responsible future. It marked the beginning of a broader approach, with further sustainability-driven concepts to follow at future exhibitions.
