SODIUM SILICATE 37/40

SODIUM SILICATE 37/40 is a clear, almost colorless, low-viscous liquid aqueous solution of sodium silicate. It is stable for 12 months when handled properly in its original container and has a shelf life of 12 months. SODIUM SILICATE 37/40 is an inorganic-based product solution that is free of volatile organic compounds and does not contribute to the organic load of wastewater streams. It does not require preservation and is therefore biocide-free. SODIUM SILICATE 37/40 is cost-effective for industrial production of SiO2-containing end products as it has a relatively high SiO2 to Na2O content (high molar ratio) and can save sulfuric acid in subsequent production of precipitated silica by acid precipitation. It can also reduce the volume of hardener required for production of silica gels used in geo-engineering applications.
