N-HEPTALDEHYDE

Oleris® n-Heptaldehyde is a 100% linear chain saturated odd-numbered fatty aldehyde of vegetable origin, processed from castor oil. 100% bio-based, it has a negative carbon footprint (ISO 14067) and is readily biodegradable, achieving 63-74% degradation in 28 days (OECD Test Guideline 301D). Used in the synthesis of flavors and fragrances ingredients like alpha-amylcinnamaldehyde (ACA), 2-heptylcyclopentanone, delta-dodecalactone, methyl-2-nonenoate and numerous cyclic and linear acetals.
